Jessica Patton, M.D., M.P.H, M.B.A.

I’m excited to be at Gadsden Regional Medical Center, building as a new Family Medicine Residency Program in its early stages and getting to be a part of the team! I have lived in multiple cities and states over the years, but most recently moved from Houston, Texas to Gadsden, Alabama. I’ve been in love with medicine from childhood.

I am a first generation college graduate and non-traditional student in that I have had multiple life experiences with work, training and various schooling programs, that brings me to this awesome point in my life – I’ve been afforded the blessings of an incredible educational journey with being able to obtain my MD, MPH, MBA and wrapping up my Dissertation and Doctorate in Health Administration as well!

Getting to connect with Dr. Morehead and finding out about the new program she was starting here, with the incredible vision she had, I was immediately drawn and excited about applying. I had a chance to meet Dr. Worth at the Global Missions Health Conference in Louisville, and after interviewing, I just knew I wanted to come here for my residency training!

It was my first choice to be here, not only because of the mission and goals they have for the program, but for the quality of the faculty and staff, the exceptional education and training we’ll receive, the commitment to whole person care, and also for what the area has to offer, the community in which we’ll serve, and the kind people. I am thrilled to be here and so excited for the future life I have ahead of me to be afforded the opportunity to finish my medical journey and hopefully be the best physician I can be, making a difference in the lives of others, and helping those in need.

I feel so incredibly blessed to pursue my dreams of becoming a physician, to inspire, help, encourage and pay forward all that I have been blessed from above to attain! I love Jesus, and in my free time I love to talk/catch up with my family and friends (adore my nieces and nephews), travel as much as possible, spend time with my little Yorkie, cook, bake, walk – be out in nature enjoying God’s Creation!
