I was born in Sierra Leone and earned my medical degree from the University of Sierra Leone, College of Medicine. My clinical experience includes work in both general and occupational medicine, primarily serving rural and district health facilities. Through this work, I developed a strong appreciation for the role of preventive medicine in improving patient outcomes and strengthening community health.
I have also gained brief clinical experience in the United States, along with exposure to behavioral health, which further broadened my perspective on patient care and the importance of addressing both physical and mental well-being. During my interview at Gadsden Regional Medical Center, I was deeply impressed by the warm and welcoming environment. The supportive atmosphere and commitment to training well-rounded physicians made a lasting impression on me, and I quickly developed a strong connection to the program.
