I’m a happily married man for 18 years to a wife that tolerates my nerdiness and caffeinated epiphanies. Rachel has been with me, from medical school, general practice in the Philippines to my 3 years of being a Senior House Officer in the Middle East in Hyperbaric Medicine and Wound Care department in Bahrain.
I am a first generation Filipino-American who is medically trained in the Philippines. God has blessed me perspective from my humble beginnings and a life full of contrasts. I spent a good amount of time of my childhood sitting on my dad’s lap to save money for a long bus ride, where he took his time explaining things from how “heavy boats float” to the “centrifugal force.” I fell in love with the sciences early on and pursued a Bachelor’s in Biology and later Medicine.
I love 80s and 90s music. I love coffee, good food from around the world, good sushi and discussing scifi and fantasy. I love the JRR Tolkien books as well as the Dune Series by Frank Herbert. I love listening to people’s life stories, long talks and long walks with a good friend.
