I was born and raised in the vibrant city of Lagos, Nigeria, with deep roots in Imo State, Nigeria. Growing up, I saw firsthand the healthcare challenges faced by so many underserved communities, and it ignited a heartfelt passion in me to become a doctor who could truly make a difference. This led me to earn my medical degree from Lagos State University College of Medicine.
After graduation, I served as a medical officer in both rural and urban settings in Nigeria, where I provided essential surgical and primary care to patients who needed it most. Those experiences taught me resilience and the joy of connecting with people in meaningful ways. Eager to grow further, I moved to the United Kingdom, managing acute and inpatient care across diverse hospitals, before making the exciting transition to the United States. Each step has enriched me with perspectives from three continents that I now carry with gratitude.
I chose the Gadsden Family Medicine Residency at GRMC because its warm, community-focused approach to full-scope family medicine feels like home to me. It beautifully aligns with my own journey in rural health, maternal care, and caring for patients in resource-limited settings. I am truly excited to join the Etowah County community, bringing cultural humility, compassionate stewardship, and evidence-based care while embracing the “human side” of medicine that matters so much.
When I am not in the clinic or hospital, I love finding balance through tinkering on little projects, getting lost in a good book, and refreshing nature walks. I am a big Formula 1 racing fan, and I cherish traveling and sightseeing, they continually open my eyes to new cultures and remind me how important it is to understand each patient’s unique story.
I am genuinely thrilled to be here and look forward to growing alongside this wonderful program and community!
